About Our Founder, Shayla Hufana

Shayla Hufana - ConceptShell Owner, Artist and Designer

Shayla Hufana is a passionate Visual Artist, Designer, and Creative Director who transforms bold ideas into award-winning, brand-defining experiences. With 16+ years of cross-industry expertise—from aerospace and luxury retail to sports, tech, and nonprofits—she blends creativity with strategy to captivate audiences and elevate brands. Recognized by Graphic Design USA as a “People to Watch” design leader in 2023, she continues to push boundaries in art and design.

As the founder of ConceptShell Art and Design Studio, Shayla partners with clients such as the City of Seattle, WNBA Seattle Storm, and NHL Seattle Kraken, while championing the voices of community members, particularly youth and underrepresented groups. Previously, she led creative teams at Cognizant and Boeing, and served as Co-Chair of SEGD Seattle and advisor on the inaugural Racial Justice Commission. Her work spans the U.S. and beyond—from Hawaii to New York, Africa to Asia.

When she’s not creating, you’ll find her painting, refurbishing vintage furniture, collecting sneakers, playing sports, or traveling with loved ones.
