A tribute to Shelley Brothers

ConceptShell’s Shayla Hufana painted this portrait of Shelley Brothers, the co-owner of The Wildrose in Capitol Hill, who passed away on February 2 at the age of 67. Shelley Brothers was "always there, always available, always ready with a warm smile," the bar said in a statement on Facebook.

In collaboration with photographer, Sung Park, he shared his studio space and helped setup the 9 feet wide, 12 feet tall paper canvas. Thank you, Sung, for capturing the painting process from start to finish, and creating this beautiful tribute video.

To Shelley, thank you for your warmth and kindness, for giving us this space to hang out and just be. 🌈 Condolences to all at The Wildrose, and to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Shelley Brothers 🌹 10.28.57-2.2.2025
